Abstracts from BAHNO meeting are published in JOPM

Exciting collaboration!

It is with great pleasure that I can inform you that Wiley has kindly agreed to publish the abstracts from the recent Annual Scientific Meeting of the British Association of Head and Neck Oncologists (BAHNO). As the Editor in Chief of JOPM and also the Honorary Secretary of BAHNO, an organisation that promotes education and development in the diagnosis and treatment of head and neck cancers in the UK and beyond, I thought that this initiative would be of benefit to our readers. JOPM receives an ever‐increasing number of submissions (over 530 in the last 12 months, which seems to be increasing on a monthly basis) on interesting and diverse topics, whilst still keeping within the remit of the journal's aims and objectives. I believe that it is important to share new and exciting developments for colleagues. As BAHNO is not currently affiliated to any head and neck journal, with Wiley's permission, I took the opportunity to form a collaboration with JOPM.
On the following pages, you will find a number of abstracts which include clinical trials, interesting management dilemmas and important new clinical information and research. I hope you enjoy reading these short abstracts, and that they might broaden your knowledge in this ever‐expanding area. We are planning several other exciting new initiatives over the coming year including special issues on the management of orofacial pain and oral cancer. I would value any feedback or suggestions for future ventures for our Journal.
