Make Sense Campaign 2025

The theme for this year's awareness week is: Equal Access, Equal Care: Uniting Europe Against Head and Neck Cancer’, which is focused on highlighting the need for progress and equity across every aspect of head and neck cancer prevention, diagnosis and care.

Below is a summary of the 2025 Awareness Week plans. We hope these activities will provide inspiration and value to you for your own local planning.

If you would like some inspiration for your own Awareness Week activities, we have put together some suggestions. We encourage you to:

Idea with solid fill

Help your community understand how HPV vaccination can prevent head and neck cancers. Share eye-opening facts on social media or spotlight this life-saving topic at your next event. Every conversation makes a difference!

Viral with solid fill

Support our efforts to highlight the importance of quality of life by sharing inspiring stories from head and neck cancer survivors. These powerful narratives can be shared through social media, featured in blog articles, or presented at local events to raise awareness and foster hope.

Share your personal experiences on social media of what #EqualAccessEqualCare means to you, whether as a patient, caregiver, or healthcare professional. Your stories can inspire and educate others. Share your stories and activities with us by using #EqualAccessEqualCare and #makesensecampaign, and tag one of our social channels listed below to join us in highlighting this important issue:

These suggestions are a great starting point but are not meant to be exhaustive or prescriptive. We look forward to seeing the range of creative activities that countries will run locally for the Head and Neck Cancer Awareness Week!
