Together with One Voice for Radiotherapy, we did it!

Thanks for your part in making the first World Radiotherapy Awareness Day, on September 7, 2025 an amazing success. Our main goal, connecting radiotherapy organisations and professionals, was achieved beyond our wildest expectations.

WRAD had over 350,000 social media interactions, with posts, shared and personal testimonies, and website visits from supporters in 109 countries. Official partnerships between WRAD and over 75 radiotherapy professional society and organisations in 2025 strengthened the movement and will ensure its sustainability.

So what’s happening in 2026?

Firstly, WRAD will appoint Regional Champions to build local radiotherapy advocacy networks, to resonate with local values, address challenges, and prioritise community needs. If you are interested, please fill out the attached survey. We will be in touch with dates for a webinar to link our Champions and to discuss next steps.

Secondly, We are actively seeking Patient/Survivor and Consumer Advocacy Groups and individuals from around the world to share their stories and join the WRAD platform, providing them with the opportunity to network with other groups, professionals, industry representatives, and policymakers.
